Officials and Religious Scholars Convene in Ghazni to Implement Decree on Social Spending
Officials and religious scholars gathered in Ghazni province for a public meeting aimed at implementing a recent decree issued by the Amir al-Mu'minin to regulate social customs and reduce financial burdens on families. The event focused on the execution of Decree No. 17, which outlines measures to curb excessive spending and reform practices deemed harmful to the community.
Minister of Information and Culture Sheikh Shir Ahmad Haqqani addressed the attendees, emphasizing the Islamic foundations of the directive. He stated that the decree is designed to ease economic pressures by limiting expenditures associated with weddings, Fatiha ceremonies, and pilgrimage preparations. Haqqani called on media outlets, religious scholars, and local community leaders to collaborate in ensuring the effective implementation of the policy across the province.
The directive, issued on the 16th day of the ninth month of the Islamic year 1446, consists of five articles that establish guidelines for social gatherings and financial obligations. Provincial authorities and members of the local Ulema Council expressed strong support for the measure, pledging full cooperation in its enforcement. They described the decree as a necessary step toward reinforcing traditional Islamic values and alleviating the financial strain on households.
Local department heads and religious figures outlined plans to disseminate the decree’s provisions through community networks and educational channels. The gathering concluded with commitments from provincial leadership to monitor compliance and address any challenges in applying the new regulations at the district level.
