Deputy Minister of Information and Culture Urges Principled Operations for Tourism and Pilgrimage Companies
Maulvi Qudratullah Jamal, Deputy for Tourism, Finance and Administration at the Ministry of Information and Culture, met with Haji Golab Sultan Zai, Head of Tourism and Pilgrimage Companies, and emphasized that such companies must operate according to principles.
Jamal stated that obtaining a license is mandatory for tourism and pilgrimage companies, and any activity without one is illegal. He said companies with expired licenses must renew them promptly. In cases of changes to a company's head, deputy, or activity location, firms must notify the Tourism Directorate at the center and Information and Culture Directorates in the provinces as soon as possible.
The deputy minister added that the evaluation board of the Tourism Deputy Office will conduct inspections of tourism and pilgrimage companies nationwide. Companies found in violation will be closed, Jamal said. He further noted that misuse of company licenses constitutes a crime, with violators to be referred to judicial institutions.
Haji Golab Sultan Zai assured that the companies' activities align with the principles of the I.E.A. and that efforts are ongoing to address existing shortcomings.
